Commonly known as propane gas, R290 is a class A3 natural refrigerant with a low environmental impact. It is a pure substance, with no evaporation slip and high thermodynamic efficiency. This refrigerant is low toxicity, but has a high flammability. Also, this refrigeration technology can be incorporated into any commercial or industrial system or equipment, although their application in Europe is regulated by regulations on refrigerant charge limits depending on their application and place of installation.
