Las plantas de glicol Intarcon producen durante el d\u00eda agua glicolada a 25\u00baC bajo cero para refrigerar los sistemas del telescopio durante la observaci\u00f3n nocturna.<span id=\"more-1374\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Plantas de glicol<\/h2>\n<p>Las plantas de glicol Intarcon son tienen un funcionamiento ultra silencioso, est\u00e1n equipadas con compresores herm\u00e9ticos Maneurop y condensadores dimensionados para funcionar a 2800 m de altitud. Su carrocer\u00eda soporta las inclemencias del tiempo y acoplarse la estructura m\u00f3vil del telescopio, y el cuadro el\u00e9ctrico y de control ha sido adaptado para ser acoplado al m\u00f3dulo de refrigeraci\u00f3n del telescopio.<\/p>\n<h2>El m\u00f3dulo de refrigeraci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n<p>Cada telescopio auxiliar cuenta con un m\u00f3dulo de refrigeraci\u00f3n (LCM) que provee fluido refrigerante a los sistemas electr\u00f3nicos, motores y sistemas \u00f3pticos. El m\u00f3dulo de refrigeraci\u00f3n contiene un acumulador de fr\u00edo en materiales de cambio de fase (PCM). Los materiales de cambio de fase utilizan el calor latente de fusi\u00f3n para absorber la energ\u00eda calor\u00edfica disipada en el interior del telescopio.<\/p>\n<p>Las plantas de glicol operan durante el d\u00eda para acumular fr\u00edo en el tanque de PCM del m\u00f3dulo de refrigeraci\u00f3n. No es&nbsp;posible operar las plantas de glicol durante la noche porque la convenci\u00f3n del aire de condensaci\u00f3n afectar\u00eda la calidad de la observaci\u00f3n. De modo que la energ\u00eda acumulada durante el d\u00eda se utiliza durante la noche.<\/p>\n<h2>El telescopio VLTI de la ESO<\/h2>\n<p>El telescopio VLTI es actualmente el instrumento \u00f3ptico m\u00e1s avanzado del mundo.
