Iberia supermarket, one of the most important supermarket chains in the Dominican Republic, founded by Spanish businessmen more than 50 years ago, needed to install a complete refrigeration and conservation system for its fresh and frozen products, in wall units and cold rooms, in the town of San Pedro de Macorís, after suffering a very serious fire in 2017 that left the previous installation in ashes.

The need was resolved with the installation of a 33 HP refrigeration unit for medium temperature services and another 25 HP unit for low temperature services. Both plants are equipped with the Digital Capacity Modulation system. The IntarWATT series units supply 20 evaporators distributed in the different cold rooms of the installation.

These units can be adapted at any time to the needs of the installation, which has a great impact on the energy savings of the supermarket. Thanks to the semi-hermetic compressors with Digital Modulation System, it is possible to adapt the refrigeration load of the installation at all times, saving energy and therefore making it more efficient.
