Inprotima bakery in Mallorca, needed for its new facilities a chiller plant to cool two process rooms, one for coiled puff pastry tipical from Mallorca, and the other for pastries, each at 12ºC and a volume of approximately 500 m3.
For this purpose, an intarWatt R290 chiller plant, model MWW-KD-10502, with 30% propylene glycol-R290 was proposed in order to provide a low GWP solution.
The chiller plant consists of two semi-hermetic Frascold compressors model V25-71AXH with V-air condensing coil and ATEX components. The hydraulic part consists of a primary glycol circuit with double pump working against a buffer tank.
There is also a cold room in the installation for which a semi-compact R134a unit has been installed, consisting of a Sigilus low-noise condensing unit and a low-profile evaporator.
In addition, this installation is equipped with the kiconex system for monitoring and control of the equipment, allowing the user to view and notify alarms at all times.
